On Saturday 25 July 2026, members and families travelled from all over the United Kingdom to Leeds for the Ogbia Community UK summer barbecue. The day was graciously hosted by our President and his family, who opened their doors and welcomed everyone with great warmth.

There was plenty of food and good music throughout the afternoon, and the atmosphere was joyful from start to finish. We were especially delighted that Ogbia students travelled from Coventry University to join us — a wonderful sign of the next generation staying connected to their roots.

Feedback from members has been overwhelmingly positive: the event was well organised and the attendance was massive. It was a true celebration of unity, friendship and Ogbia spirit, and a day that will be remembered fondly. Photographs from the day are shown below.
